Experiments
- House eight-month-old APP/PS1 mice in individual ventilated cages.1
- Expose mice to LEO inhalation for one hour each day for 30 days.2
- Perform NeuN staining to assess neuronal density in the hippocampus.3
- Eight-month-old APP/PS1 mice were housed in individual ventilated cages (IVCs) inhaling LEO for one hour for consecutive 30 days. Neuronal density was estimated using NeuN staining.
- Treat APP/PS1 mice with LEO as described previously.1
- Conduct MWM test: Mice were trained over 5 consecutive days with four trials per day.2
- Perform a probe test on day 6 to measure spatial memory.3
- Conduct Novel object recognition test by replacing one familiar object with a novel object and assess recognition index.4
- Conduct Morris Water Maze (MWM) and Novel object recognition tests on LEO-treated and untreated APP/PS1 mice to assess learning and memory.
- Treat APP/PS1 mice with LEO as previously described.1
- Perform Western blotting to analyze amyloid precursor expression and distribution.2
- Stain tissue sections with amyloid precursor and evaluate the degree of amyloid deposit.3
- Western blotting and immunohistochemistry were used to analyze amyloid precursor expression and distribution in APP/PS1 mice treated with LEO.
